There are some places you visit once and move on from. And then there are places that become your personal escape.
For me, Naddi in Dharamshala is one of those places. And whenever I visit, there is one homestay I keep coming back to: Srishti Homestay.
I have visited Naddi three times so far, and I have stayed at Srishti Homestay on all three occasions. In fact, I am planning my fourth stay there, and honestly, I don’t feel the need to look for another place.
The reason is a combination of everything that makes a mountain stay special: the location, the view, the food, and most importantly, the hospitality.

A Homestay With a View of the Dhauladhar
One of the first things you notice about Srishti Homestay is its location. The homestay is situated right in front of the Dhauladhar mountain range, giving you beautiful mountain views without having to go anywhere.
One of my favourite things about staying here is that you can simply look out of the window and enjoy the Dhauladhar view. You don’t necessarily need to plan a sightseeing trip or go searching for a viewpoint. Sometimes, just sitting inside the homestay and looking at the mountains is enough.
And that, for me, is what a mountain getaway should feel like.

The Hospitality Makes the Difference
Srishti Homestay is run by Suresh, and his hospitality is one of the biggest reasons I have returned three times.
He is friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel comfortable rather than making the experience feel like a typical hotel stay. There is a personal touch to the way he hosts his guests, which makes a difference when you are staying somewhere for a few days.
And then there is the food.
Suresh also owns Musafir Cafe, and the food there has been another highlight of my visits. Whether you’re coming back after exploring the area or simply want to enjoy a good meal during your stay, the cafe adds another reason to enjoy the experience.
For me, good food combined with genuine hospitality is difficult to beat.

Why I Keep Coming Back to Naddi
Here is a list of homestays/hotels in and around Nainital that you can consider for a perfect Naddi itself is another reason I keep returning.
If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place in Dharamshala, especially somewhere that feels a little away from the usual tourist rush, Naddi is worth considering.
One of the things I like most about Naddi is that it doesn’t feel overly crowded. You can slow down, take a walk, enjoy the mountain air, have a cup of tea, and simply spend some time doing nothing.
And sometimes, doing nothing is exactly what you need from a holiday.
For travellers looking for an offbeat, peaceful mountain destination, Naddi offers a very different experience from staying in a busy tourist area.
My Fourth Stay Is Already Planned
After staying at Srishti Homestay three times, the fact that I am planning my fourth visit probably explains how I feel about the place better than anything else I could write.
For me, Srishti Homestay isn’t just a place to sleep when I visit Naddi. It has become part of the experience.
The peaceful surroundings, the Dhauladhar views from the window, Suresh’s hospitality, and the food at Musafir Cafe all come together to make it a place I genuinely enjoy returning to.
Sometimes, travelling isn’t about discovering a new place every time.
Sometimes, it’s about finding that one place you know you’ll be happy to return to.
For me, in Naddi, that place is Srishti Homestay.
